Breaking the Cycle: Why 'I Can't Afford It' Is Keeping You Stuck

Ladies, let’s talk about that knee-jerk response we’ve all used: “I don’t have the money.”
If you’re in debt, struggling financially, and searching for a way out, coaching might have been presented as a solution. And yet, the moment it’s offered, your instinct is to say, “I can’t afford it.”
I get it. I’ve been there. When you’re drowning in financial stress, the last thing you want is another expense. But let’s get real for a second—what will you do if you do nothing?
Will your debt magically disappear?
Will your money habits suddenly improve?
Will your stress and anxiety about money go away?
You already know the answer. If you do nothing, nothing changes.
The truth is, staying stuck in the same cycle is far more expensive than investing in a solution. Every day you put off making a change is another day lost to stress, fear, and frustration. It’s another month of debt accumulating, another year of feeling trapped.
Here’s the thing: “I don’t have the money” is often a reflex, not a fact. If your car broke down tomorrow, you’d find a way to fix it. If your best friend was getting married across the country, you’d figure out how to be there. The real issue isn’t money—it’s belief. Belief in yourself, belief in your ability to change, and belief that you’re worth the investment.
So, I’ll ask you again: What will you do if you do nothing?
If you’re ready to break the cycle, start small. Start somewhere. But start. Your future self is counting on you.
